I cannot say enough good things about the Academies. If you're looking for a 2B stick that's not too heavy (a 2A, I guess...) this is the one for you. And they're durable! I use these on a drum set in a band that plays gigs 2-3 times a month, and my Academies are only now needing replaced after over 8 months!

The Academy is a great all around concert stick. Extremely well-balanced with nice taper and bead shape. Diameter is perfect... the silky smooth finish is icing on the cake.
