Twined rope bowl

Two attempts at the rope bowl. The instructions for how to finish the top of the bowl are unclear. When I tucked the rope to the inside and cut off the extra, it began to fray and came back out to the outside of the bowl which looks messy and unfinished. The twine bowl was difficult to shape around my bowl form and kept slipping up and moving out of place. Suggestions on a type of cord or rope that is more sturdy and does not fray would be helpful, but mostly the directions are unclear to me on finishing the bowl. I only have the written instructions with my order, I did not see the video which may have been more helpful.

I am still unclear how to end the basket. It’s a bit confusing to me Otherwise the video is great and the basket is beautiful
