Potentially very good

This is my second time ordering this roast. The first bag was excellent. It had a very nice note of grape that I didn't expect to be such a fan of, but I liked it so much I ordered more, this time in a 2lb bag. This time it seems like those grape notes have been roasted out of it. This time the roast is darker than before - what I would consider medium. Although I have come to prefer light roasts, medium roasts can be good if they retain the flavor notes, but I have not been successful in pulling out the flavor of the previous bag. I know variation is to be expected, and this still makes an acceptable cup, but its always disappointing when this happens.

One of my Methodical Favorites

I really enjoyed this coffee. The natural and honey blend gave it a rich flavor and full body. It was different without being funky. The coffee worked well as an espresso based drink (flat white and cortado), V-60, and cold brew.

I don’t consider myself a coffee connoisseur by any means. Oscuro and Belly Warmer are my “old faithfuls” that I toggle between. This one is very different to me, but I love it so much. I already want to order more!
