Zombie Dirt Pale Ale Beer Recipe Kit

A great brew

This is my favorite pale ale. I love the hoppiness. I have made it several times.

Similar To A Hazy IPA

The amount of hops in this recipe (10 oz in a 5-gallon kit) made me a bit nervous since I’m not partial to the pine flavor that’s prevalent in IPA’s. Yes, I realize that this is supposed to be a Pale Ale, but Pale Ale’s don’t usually have this volumn of hops. The piney-ness, however, isn’t overwhelming. It’s actually a pleasant part of a complex overall flavor profile. The Citra hops also add a citrus component for a refreshing finish. An amusing aspect to this seemingly simple beer is that the appearance is, in keeping with a post-zombie apocalypse theme, like dirty (or dusty) beer in the glass. This one’s a keeper for me that I’m sure I will want to brew again.
