Very satisfying pair of boots

I’ve had my boots for two days. I usually wear a 7.5, but in that size the boots were impossibly tight so I exchanged for 8’s. Even in 8 they were too tight, but a size up to 8.5 would be probably too big. Swapping out the chisos insoles with a less aggressive pair did the trick and now they feel pretty good. I’ve got a knobby instep, and on day one I had to take them off a three or four times to give my instep a rest — at the end of the day I was thankful to get them off. On day two I wore them almost all day, taking them off for a break only once. By the end of the day they were feeling pretty nice, but still causing discomfort at the instep. I figure a couple more days and they’ll be about right. As for the quality, they look and wear great. The lining is especially nice, especially at the ankle where other boots have caused me some pain from exposed seams. Chisos are very comfortable in the ankles especially. They also just sound right. The all leather sole has a deep tone to it walking across a porch or wet gravel. And they have a very subtle satisfying leathery creak.

My mom has said for a long time I look like Jason Mamoa. Well I went to a baby shower today in these boots and the other dads now say I look like Mamoa. I am very pleased with the rugged aesthetic of these boots.
