Okay, I have owned the Hot Cake three different times over the years....mostly the newer ones with the switches, etc. However, this "inspired by" pedal nails it for me and I get the Hot Cake/Vox thing! I boost it with a Benson Germanium Preamp and that combo is....at least for today, pretty magic. Thanks for making a great product!

Simply stunning

It's a Hot Cake tribute. I've never had the occasion to play on an original but judging from the copy i'd say it's one of the most transparent overdrives I've never had. The sound is natural and articulate, aggressive when you turn the gain up a bit, in a good way. The new design is perfect and I love the purple led. That was my first GupTech pedal and it may not be the last.
