While I haven't finished (need more pencils), my experience has been very good. I am a beginner and have purchased various materials (jump start, quick start, tutorials etc) and this book is by far the best. The author goes into a lot of detail with demos of the various features of a cat like eyes, nose ears, etc and the line drawings are enlarged for the feature so it is fairly easy to understand. The only fault I have seen so far is there are places where something was changed but the text wasn't updated. Still, it is a very good book.

Fantastic book with brilliant projects. Just the right amount of instruction which allows you to make your own decisions if you want. I would definitely recommend to all aspiring cat artists.
