Sunflower Smiley F1 Seed

Smiley F1 sunflowers have a great germination rate and are very robust. Many of them survived the none too gentle pruning by our local deer herd and are still producing flowers. I will be planting them again next year.

Withered without regular watering.

First time growing these. Good germination. Very short and compact plants with pretty flowers. Did not deadhead and started to water less after established. Plant appears to need more care than I thought for Houston hot summer. Withered and got a powdery coating on plant. Watered more and plant rebounded a little but flowers are much smaller in our July heat
