Purchased additional due to ease of use and price (with meat prices lately). We tend to use a little less water than called for. That way you can control the consistency of the mix and add more water if desired. It's a nice change of pace, quick and easy prepare, and tastes surprisingly good.

Best alternative to ground beef

We haven’t opened a pack of Black Bean Burger mix yet since we plan to save them for emergencies. However, we have made our own bean burgers from scratch and we are convinced this mix will be a great substitute for ground beef when protein is hard to come by.
