Grown naturally in a small family plot in Tong Mu Guan village in Wu Yi Shan, these Da Hong Pao varietal tea bushes have been growing without human involvement and are picked twice a year in May and late September!
The aroma is at once nuts...

我想好的.
I believe this tea has a real taste. Slightly astringent with a good wholesome tang to it. I brewed it in 195°water until it had some lightly brown color to it -about 3 minutes.

Spring 2022 Wild DaHongPao
Long ago I was spoiled on very very good "Big Red Robe" yancha. It's been years of general disappointment; receiving commercial grade fair to poor excuses for "red robe". This is the same quality I was spoiled on. It's lovely yancha as DaHongPao. Caramel apple cedar & sandalwood fronts; then kinda cocoa w/other uplifting complexities (herbally?) ; & the mouth watering tingling minerality which yancha is famous for. Depending how it's brewed = floral undertones at lower (91c) temps to spicier at temps 93c & up. Refreshing cloud 9 Cha. Does not last more than 5 brewings. Never had a yancha that did. Just so you know if you don't already.
