Delicious fast growing squash

City Garden Friend
A perfect species for the urban garden. I direct seeded these beauties late in the season (early July) and in partial shade but they did not disappoint. They all sprouted and have started giving a yield within 6 weeks. The plants are not fussy and relatively compact for a summer squash. The fruit are delicious with an excellent texture. This will be a staple addition to my garden from now on.

Mmm - summer squash is excellent in all sizes. This is easy to handle for cutting and cooking.
