Planted in a 5 gallon container with full sun in B.C. Lower Vancouver region. Started seedlings in doors and transplanted out onto south facing deck May 05, 2023. Pro: Tender and delicious if picked at about 10cm diameter size or less. Con: Very susceptible to powdery mildew in comparison to other squash varieties (Delicata bush, Goldy,Black Beauty) I had in the same location. Able to power through despite powdery mildew and produced 4 squashes until all my squashes got hit with some kind of disease (a good amount of leaves started turning yellow then dies, plant survives but no longer producing. still trying to identify the cause). Will try again next year only if I figure out the cause. Suspect to be some bacterial disease carried by the hateful brown stink bugs everywhere in my neighbourhood. BTW, has anyone in the lower mainland BC suffered from squash vine borers?
