Flatwound strings nut

Good quality nut to put flatwound strings on my u bass. The E string slot needed quite a bit of filing to get it low enough, but once done it’s great.

Worked flawlessly

I bought a Kala Nomad UBass on impulse at a guitar chain store, and since it was priced so reasonably, I thought I would experiment with the three different string types. The original nut came off without too much hassle. The nut for round wound strings fit in height without any sanding. It is slightly wider than the neck by a millimeter or less. One could sand the sides if a flush fit is desired.

Great nut but lots of filing down to get correct height

Great nut - exactly as described. Easy to work with when changing height etc - it comes MILES too high for standard acoustic-electric UBass models (intentionally) so lots of filing down and checking before it’s right. But good for the price, great for the outcomes. MUST change the nut if you’re changing string types (nylon vs round wound vs flat wound)
