Maybe I'm not the smartest (definitely not) but this was the closest nut I could find to the size I needed, but then come to find out that it's a little wide to fit into the nut trough. So, a lot of sanding was required for the height and width as well as some on the ends due to protrusion. But once I got it in I immediately noticed a huge improvement in sustain. Another few days later and I realized I hadn't tuned my bass since the tuning following the install. It was still perfect, even with the new strings! DR Blacks. Fantastic...just maybe make some thinner sizes please and thank you!
