Classic Chinese Mahjong Game Set, "Champagne Gold" - with 148 Medium Size Tiles and a Wooden Case

Beautiful, well made acrylic Chinese mahjong tile set

My "Champagne Gold" acrylic tile set arrived in perfect condition. The tiles are very beautiful and well made. The wood case is very sturdy and the trays are felt lined and sturdy. The face of the tiles is a bright and very nice white, highlighting the symbols engraved and painted on the tile faces. The symbols are very clear and the colors are bright blue, green, red plus a spot of yellow on the 1 bamboo bird. The sparkly rose gold with translucent backs were in perfect condition on all the tiles. These acrylic tiles are easy to shuffle, stack for walls, and are stable standing upright during play. Compared to my larger Yellow Mountain Chinese mahjong "Emerald Weave" set (40 x 29.5 x 21.5mm melamine tiles), these "Champagne Gold" acrylic tiles (34 x 25 x 19mm) have a brighter white face and the symbols on the face of the tiles are more attractive and have brighter colors. The larger melamine tiles are more deeply engraved. The acrylic tiles are noticeably lighter and more glossy than the larger melamine tiles which have a more weighty "stone" feel. The 34mm acrylic tiles fit easily on the Yellow Mountain 31.5 x 31.5" mat, whereas the 40mm melamine tiles are snug on this mat though their faces are much easier to identify across the table. The melamine tiles definitely have a more pronounced clack during shuffling and stacking. Both are terrific tiles. Attached pictures show the full "Champagne Gold" acrylic 34mm tile set and wood box. I also attached two pictures of select tiles from the 34mm acrylic set next to the corresponding tiles from the 40mm melamine set for comparison of size and colors.

Just what I wanted

I chose the Chinese Mahjong set because I wanted the chonky tiles. This set is just what I was looking for. The tiles have a nice heft, and the sparkly backs of the tiles look good. The box is nice, but not a selling point. I’m excited to get my friends together & start playing! Would recommend to others.

LOVE my Champagne Gold Chinese mahjong tiles!

I unwrapped my Champagne Gold Chinese Mahjong tiles yesterday and was so impressed! Everyone at the table was in love with the feel and look of the tiles. They have. a great weight to them and feel great in your hand. I love seeing the translucence of the tile as it sits on the table. The box the tiles comes in is beautiful and well made! 5 stars!
