I am learning American mahjong because that is what folks in my area play. But I wanted to learn Chinese/Hong Kong style also. Along with this set, YouTube and Ms. Wong’s book I have been able to learn and play with friends. Disclaimer… I first purchased the green back Chinese set from YMI and liked it so much I purchased this one for the color alone on the Mother’s Day sale. Tiles are solid, stand up for Chinese play, great sound when washing. I love everything about them!

I cannot play Chinese, and my error I ordered the Chinese. I'd like to return, but the cost to return isn't good. I just wanted an American set, with out all the racks, etc.
