French Onion Soup Bowls

My husband has not made French onion soup in years, but when he did recently, he asked about the appropriate bowls that he must have had in the past before we were a couple because we do not have any. I decided to gift him with a set for Father's Day which I did. It was my surprise to discover that many of the "French Onion Soup Bowls" that I found could not be used under the broiler for that important final cheese-melting step in the soup-making process. Luckily, these handsome bowls are truly made for that final step of a true French onion soup.

Haven’t used them yet. I can’t wait. I love French onion soup. The bowls are perfect.
