Three Bean Chili Mac

In preparation of my upcoming S. African Walking Safari, my granddaughter and I tried the Mac & Cheese in a mock camping situation. We boiled water in the Sterno Stove I'll be carrying, and then hydrated our meal - it was delicious! We added a little more water than the directions suggested, and that made the hydration faster. She used to spork, which worked more effectively than the plastic spoon I used. The Net-Net: Peak Refuel seems to be exactly what I need for my upcoming carry-everything-I-need 6 day/5 nite hike in Kruger National Park - and not a bad idea to cook & eat one before you go off on your next adventure!

The sauce was very watery, and not very flavorful. I use very hot water from an electric kettle, approximately 212 degrees. I let is sit for 7.5 minutes, stirred it and resealed, waited another 7.5 minutes and the contents was still dry and course, accept the pasta. So yeah not working for me. This is the second time I have tried this product and in my experience it has not improved. Sorry :-(

There was no sauce in the meal, some sort of manufacturing error? I emailed them twice and got no response. This doesn’t taste very good without the sauce.
