Flutter sleeve dress is a pretty good start

I love this dress, but had to make a few changes to the pattern right off the bat for my daughter. I made the skirt about twice as long and shortened the bodice by about 3 inches. I did finish my hem and think that it made the dress feel more professional. It’s a good basic pattern but i do think the finishing could be a little cleaner.

Great pattern! Loved the step-by-step pictures. The sizing is great! The 24 month size fits my granddaughter perfectly! My only complaint is that is am a traditional clothing sewist. I am used to 5/8 inch seam allowance. I sewed to that seam allowance for the bodice and realized that wasn't what the pictures showed. Fortunately I had just enough fabric to cut and sew a new bodice. It would be good to add seam allowance specifications to the directions.

Love this pattern! Easy to follow, and so cute. I shortened the body about an inch and a half so the skirt didn’t start as low.
