Color Mask Coffee

Better than Matrix Brass Off & Madison Reed's color neutralizing mask

I bought this in Coffee & was expecting a brown hair color but realized it was more of a toning cream than anything (which is still just fine since I was looking to do something about my gold hair). The texture and color of this mask reminds me A LOT of Lime Crime's color dye in "Squid", which is a good thing. It says it's for dark brown & black hair, but I have a bronde balayage so I diluted this color mask with a regular hair mask. It's a dark indigo color, which is PERFECT for orangey, brassy, and dark hair that is turning reddish. I kept this mask on (remember mine was diluted) for about 40 minutes and I wish I could send photos of before/after, it's outstanding! Also, the negative reviews regarding stained hands are a user error. The sole purpose of this product is to DEPOSIT COLOR. So yes, it stains your hands. If it didn't then it's not a good mask. Obviously you need to wear gloves.

Not fragrance free

Why add unnecessary ingredients? I’m disappointed with this product & the hair color. Why not make the hair color PPD free AND fragrance-free? Your marketing team needs to advocate for a healthier formula for both products-otherwise, your company is no different than any others.

It doesn't smell like Coffee... but

I had to do it! This color resembles a dark brown, almost black. It really resemblances a nice, dark coffee color. It washes out after a few washes.
