D'Addario Micro Acoustic Guitar Soundhole Tuner

Usually these work fine, but this tuner is fussy and blinks the screen like it can't quite pick up the guitars sound. Seems almost like a dead battery, but I removed the plastic tab when it arrived which is supposed to prevent discharge.
