Zinc Stearate

A rather less spectacular use for zinc stearate than in cosmetics for pretty ladies.

There is a specialized finish for exterior rustic wood fences and decks which I have compounded numerous times over the last 50+ years in which zinc stearate powder is used. In the past I have purchased the material at regular drug stores. These days pharmacists give me a blank look and seem to think it strange that anyone would be looking for the material. An online search uncovered you folks as a source. The material which I purchased from you dissolved easily in melted paraffine wax which then blended easily in warm turpentine and subsequently combined easily with boiled linseed oil and some traces of other compounds and now happily and attractively resides on my cedar fence. Thank you for a very fine product (pun fully intended).
