Defective - support forcing me to pay return fee; says defect is known

I received a defective device (it makes a repetitive, electronic sound loud enough that it can be heard across the room multiple times each minute...this is a heating pad - not a speaker). When I inquired for a replacement I was told it wouldn't fix the issue as this is a known problem, but I could return. Sounds good - but they want me to pay for the return shipping for a defective product! Wild! I called the warranty number multiple days in a row and could not get a human. Shame as I love these products and have one in every room.

Best moist heat ever

I have several Thermphore heating pads to use at various place in my home. this was a gift for a seamstress so that she can plug it in and wear it while at her sewing machine. Being a repeat customer says it all.
