Very limited heat presets

Despite the advertising that this heating pad has a high heat threshold, there are two issues:1) it doesn’t actually get as hot as advertised and 2) you cannot decide or adjust the temperature for yourself - you must choose one of only a couple of preset temperatures. The gaps are huge, so it is either too hot for sensitive areas or too cold. Mostly too cold to be effective. If you try it for yourself, you CANNOT RETURN IT, so don’t waste your money.

Hot and heavy

5 stars. I've tried a lot of heating pads over the years, and this is one of the few that gets genuinely hot. The heat penetrates deeply and provides excellent relief for sore muscles and stiffness. I also like that the pad has some weight to it. Unlike lightweight heating pads that barely stay in place, this one drapes well and maintains good contact with the area being treated. The combination of high heat and the heavier design makes it much more effective than most heating pads I've used.

Ok, Not Great. Just Being Honest

The size and weight of this pad is very nice. The fact that it is able to wick humidity from the air and provide a moist heat is pretty impressive as well. Its a comfortable mat to lay on. My issue, and its the same issue that led myself and the majority of others to Thermophore, is how warm/hot the heating pad gets. It does get warmer than the average pharmacy shelf pad. But its an uneven, inconsistent heat. With a “hot spot” as opposed to a 170 degree evenly distribution of heat mat. So you will find yourself adjusting it, bunching it up or folding it as you continuously search for that seemingly migrating “hot spot”. This kinda kills my endorsement of this pad and will not be recommending it anyone. I will keep it, because its better, but not great.
