Effort but they work

I was losing most of my apple crop to coddling moth. These barriers do work. I use twist ties to tie each bag. It’s a ton of effort but the apples are perfect at harvest, especially since I thin aggressively as I cover each apple.

Good Protection but smaller than last time I bought these

I have used these for a couple of years and they do work great to keep my fruit protected. However, I bought more this year and they are smaller in size than my previous purchase. I have one apple tree with very large apples and these will not work. I can use them on my smaller apples. Just thought I should comment on that change. For the big apples I purchased some woman's nylon socks and don't know if those will be as good, but they look the same. I will have to try them before I can recommend.

Maggot Barrier

Have used these for several years now, all organic, no sprays. Does take a bit of work up front, but worth it in the long run for pesticide free fruit. I use orthodontic elastics to hold the sacks on when I bag the fruit in early spring. I try to use elastics that are UV resistant. Did not have good luck with hair elastics.
