Wanted the hand crank for my 222.
Super easy to install and use. Wish it fit nicely into original case with the machine.

Fully mechanical option
The hand crank is well made; it looks and feels good with a decent weight to the parts. The Featherweight Shop's videos were very helpful and I was able to remove the motor and install the hand crank easily. I found winding the bobbin easier with the hand crank perhaps due to being able to control the speed better. Sewing is an even quieter experience without the motor. Best of all, I have no plug and extension cord to deal with. I use my featherweight for foundation paper piecing and I think based on the usage and amount of sewing I do, a hand crank is a fun and useful option. The one negative would be the added weight to the machine. It's not significant, but it is noticeable when I move locations.

Historical
Since I do historical events with no electricity, I am grateful to be able to brink a lighter weight hand crank machine instead of my larger and very heavy ones. Awkward to mont on the machine. But so worth it.
