Variogate Double Crash Tested Dog Cargo Gate for SUVs | by MIM Safe

Great investment. Checked all the boxes.

Purchased the VarioGate Double and HR Barrier (small) for the 2017 Subaru Crosstrek. I'll split the review into two parts. PRODUCT UTILITY Looked at many options for my Super Mutt (Pointer, Lab, Weimaraner, Boxer, Chow). My decision criteria is below: - Dog containment. Needed to control the physical aspect of my pup's reactivity while riding in the car. (check) - Dog Comfort. Wanted my pup to have full motion. She can both sit and stand erect without her head touching the roof. She can lay down and/or sleep in every position that she normally does inside the house or out in the yard. (check) - Safety: Products are well designed and built. (check) - Economic Investment: Well worth the cost. It is an investment and I'll gladly pay the price for great value. My pup travels with me most of the time and that means that I use the investment multiple times each day. Great return. SALES SUPPORT AND SERVICE Outstanding sales support from the Adeo team. Keisha and Weston are rock stars. Sizing the fit for your vehicle is critical, given the no return policy once purchased. The Adeo team was diligent in researching and then communicating to me that fit for the 2017 Crosstrek was not guaranteed. Weston asked if I still wanted to buy, even after initially placing my order. I replied "ship it". I knew that I could raise the floor so the doors could open above the threshold. As for the troubleshooting support with my installation, both the Adeo team plus the 4X4 NA team are top tier! They worked with me on my issue until resolution. Ultimately the issue was an unforced installation error caused by me. Perfect!

Needed a gate system that was sturdy and would allow me to open up the car. Combined with a barrier and some window guards I can completely open up the car and keep my dogs safe and secure. Looks great, installation wasn't bad at all! I'm my case due to the cargo area having a bit of a drop, and needing to be able to have room for two large dogs, I did put in a platform that the gate sits on. While I could have it work without the platform, the gate had to tilt to the max, so it took up a lot of the space, plus with how my seats fold (not flat) it mostly levels out the entire back area so the dog(s) are super comfy. They love it! No regrets...not cheap but very high quality and could also go into another vehicle in the future if needed.

Assembly and installation was easy and straightforward. Weston was a big help answering all my questions regarding my specific vehicle pre-purchase.
