Outstanding value
Bought four of these light heads to put on scout bodies for loaner and rental rifles at a range I own and operate. They stand up to abuse, provide great output, and are extremely affordable compared to OEM or competitor models.

Great upgrade
I have an old surefire E2E EDC that I have not used in a few years due to the weak beam. I now have my surefire investment back. The E2 head upgrade gave ne a new rugged surefire system.

I'm nearly completed with my home defense rifle build and decided to add a weapon light. I have absolutely no experience with these lights so I began searching for some knowledge. I started by visiting Surefire, Arisaka, Malkoff, and several other sites before deciding to start with a Surefire M640 body because I liked the rail mount system. It was a toss up between the Surefire Clicky Tailcap or the Tape Switch. I chose the ClickyTailcap for now to keep the cost down. When it came to the light head I struggled to figure out which heads were appropriate for my build and application. Based on positive product reviews I decided to reach out to Malkoff Devices for some guidance. For several days Gene became my 'pen pal'. Each time I sent him a text he would immediately get back to me with a response. I finally decided on the E-2 head and it turned out to be exactly what I was looking for without being overkill. I have plenty of fill to light up any room in my house. I wasn't really concerned about the throw for home defense, but I took it outside last night and was amazed at how well it lit up the outbuildings in my 4 acre yard. If you're like me, needing help with the subject of weapon lights, don't hesitate to contact Gene at Malkoff Devices. You'll be certain to get quick responses and valuable input.
