Awning 11 Foot

I've freshened up my '98 Natchez by peeling off the cracked plastic roof shell and after preparing it for the next phase - bedliner, that was rolled on. Next, before the bedliner had time to cure, I then applied I applied a polyurethane based paint to color it (applying the paint before the bedliner base was cured is crucial as the paint and bedliner will form a super tough bond). After letting it cure for a week in my garage I put on the new OEM roof gasket. Then I purchased a new awning rail intending to put the original awning back on. Surprisingly but not shocking the awning bag disintegrated and was not useable any longer so I then purchased a new bag awning. I finished off my project by replacing the clearance and tail lights, the water fill inlet, the electrical cord access door and lastly the city water hose inlet cover. The camper looks great, everything works as it should and the best part is the total cost was still less than having a local company spray bedliner material on the roof's foam core. If you have one of these campers with the cracked ABS roof - don't be afraid to tackle the refurbishment of it!

It seems to be ok. Not as high quality as I had expected from an expensive awning. Soon as we installed it the black tab on one of the legs fell off. Did manage to get it back on but not something I would fully trust from here on out. Other than that it seems to be ok.

Had to replace the old awning. It isn’t an exact OEM replacement but is a solid replacement. The seam is not water proof so water would leak along the side of the camper in a rain. Easy fix is some flex seal spray along the seam and now I can cook outside the camper in the rain.
