First modern double edge

I have been using older Gillette Super speeds and Techs with Astra Platinum blades and decided to try a more modern razor. Chose to try the Fendrihan. I was super impressed. Very smooth close shave on face and head with Astra Platinum blades. Quickly has become my favorite razor. For general comparison to the above mentioned razors the Fendrihan is noticeably heavier and has a significantly larger handle and beefier head and shaves slightly more aggressively, but once you find the angle it is a pleasure to shave with. Ordered an assortment of blades too and am looking forward to trying all of them.

I have been using the razor for over a year now. It has a nice weight to it and you will not find a more well built/well finished 100% stainless steel razor to purchase. I had tried several other razors and none came close. The handle is solid. The head is 100% solid stainless. Changing the blade is a simple screw mechanism. I have a very rough beard and it did take me a few shaves and a few nicks to get the angle right. If I follow up with a second “against the grain” shave I have never felt smoother skin. Forget the $100+ name brand all stainless razors. This is absolutely a buy for life razor.
