I just received my second mkii yesterday. For the last several weeks I have been using either mki or mkii. I now have two of each in case of loss when traveling. I am also cured of RAD (as you know that’s short for Razor Acquisition Disorder). I have been wet shaving for over 50 years and I am discovering that 76 year old skin is not as resilient as it was years ago, so the mki is a bit too aggressive to be a daily driver. It’s great for special occasions,or when I know I’m going to have a long day. Mkii is perfect for everyday. Old guys take note: I use a Feather blade in mkii, and I haven’t cut myself yet. My best shaves with the mki come via Astra SP. Five big stars for mkii, four for mki (four and a half if that were possible) only because, for me, the open side on mki is just a tad harsh. Boy am I going to save money not going after every new razor out there. Keep up the good work!

Perfect razor - don't change a thing!

I received the PVD coated Mk II about a month ago, and I have been using it daily. This is an excellent razor when paired with a good, sharp blade. I really like the PVD coating. It has a nice, deep, glossy finish on the top of the cap. The steel is metal injection molded, so it doesn't have the same "look" as a CNC machined part, but the cost is very affordable. Tolerances are still excellent, and everything fits as it should. I especially enjoy the rather aggressive knurling on the nicely weighted handle. I also like the European style slotted type blade alignment, rather than the common twin post design. No worries about a skewed blade here. Top notch in every respect, and truly a razor I expect to pass on to my son someday. Don't think - just buy one. You'll be glad you did.
