I greatly enjoy roasting my own coffee, and the Gene Cafe machine makes it SO easy to indulge in my hobby. However, after doing a roast during a cold-weather snap and doing a cleanout of the chaff collector, I noticed that the "stack" part of the collector came off way too easily. A closer look revealed that one of the 'tabs' that held it in place had broken off. Not sure when or how that happened, but it was easy to order a replacement, and that replacement part came faster than I could have imagined. I feel the Gene Cafe roaster is an EXCELLENT product, and the support given by the manufacturer is equally excellent. The device MORE than meets my needs as a hobbyist; I can't envision needing another coffee roaster unless I decide to turn pro, and roast coffee on a commercial scale.
