I actually bought this level of firmness by accident. Usually I buy 20-30 mmHg. I use them to go walking first thing in the morning. While they are a bit harder to get on, I think these firmer socks provide a good start to my day (my work is mostly sedentary).

Best compression socks I have found

I am 72 and have worn compression socks for over 40 years. I was a practicing veterinarian full time for over 40 years, and physicians I had as clients told me how much less leg and foot fatigue you would have at the end of the day after being on your feet all day. Started with lower compression, but now wear the 30-40 mm. I buy 12 pair once a year so my bride does not have to wash a couple of pair every day or so, as I wear them every day. I have been able to tell when they are losing their compression, and so far 12 pair last me a year.
