Saves a ton of grief
This tool, plus a can of WD-40, can save you a lot of grief of stripped T nuts. Having to get behind the wall to replace t nuts, holds stuck in place because the back of the wall is inaccessible, etc. Wish I had bought this 12 years ago when I built wall.

Life saver
Absolutely mandatory for any wall. The second there is any difficulty putting in a bolt, stop immediately and clean the threads up with this tap to avoid any cross threading. This tool can save you from headaches when used properly.

Works great and is well made
I’m the head route setter at a small gym with textured fiberglass Entre Prises walls. The t-nuts are really difficult to replace, and because of the real-rock texturing, they aren’t always perpendicular to the surface. When some of the setters or I get too casual with the impact drill it’s pretty easy to cross-thread/strip them. It’s much easier to repair the t-nuts in situ. I bought the Escape Tap kit because I’ve been very happy with all of the gear I’ve bought from them over the years. This didn’t disappoint. It’s well made, heavy in your hand, set up easily, and I fixed 6 t-nuts in 10 minutes. My only fault with it is that the chuck tends to loosen up when backing the tap out, and the bit slipped out once while I was up in the wall in my harness. I wish the bits would lock-in place like my ratchet set does. But now that I’m aware of it, it’s not a big deal to just re-tighten it frequently. Overall pleased with it and the die that I got to repair threads on bolts.
