Student Thermometer

As pictured and described. Bought for my college aged kid and friends who needed thermometers for college. Very hard to find for a good price specially shipping out of state. Thanks Arbor Scientific for provinding this convenient and pocket saving options for students.

I ordered these to demonstrate the heat of blue, orange, ultra-red light falling on thermometers from a prism (Herschel's experiment). The thermometers are nicely compact in width (no attached wide paper temp scale) with temperature markings etched on the glass stem, but the temperature range is too broad (-20 to 110C) to discern the small temperature changes induced by portions of light spectra provided by prism. Would be great if you had similarly etched temp markings in smaller divisions (perhaps in degrees F) on glass thermometer over half as much range (-20F to 120 F) .
