Buckwheat Hull Pillows

Love the pillow, with some adjustment

The standard pillow is a generous size. Mine was so full of buckwheat hulls, that there was not room for the hulls to shift, forming a well for my head. That first night was kind of like sleeping on a brick. No problem, adjustment is possible. After speaking with a very helpful Soaring Heart employee ( who instantly got my issue) I carefully removed 4 pounds of hulls, storing them in 4 ziplock bags. Now, the pillow supports my head and neck throughout the night all sleeping positions. (I plan to make a smaller pillow with the remaining 4 pounds.) It might be helpful for Soaring Heart to offer an option for fewer pounds of buckwheat to allow for a flatter pillow with more room for hulls to shift. I love my pillow and appreciate the knowledgable and helpful staff.

Firm yet comforting

The pillow is much cooler than a conventional pillow due to the fill, which also makes this pillow firm and weighty. My pillow is about 15 pounds perfect for me as I toss around often. But since buying I toss and turn much less often and its weight keeps it well planted even if I do move. This pillow is Perfect for support and people who love firm, cool and secure pillows.

Best “Sobakawa” Pillow Ever!

I’ve been using a buckwheat pillow since they were advertised on TV all the time in the early 90’s. This is my 3rd from Soaring Heart and I can’t say enough about how much I love them! I’ve got some of my family members using them now too.
