Love the bed (orthopedic crate pad) but getting the bed into the zippered cover was very very difficult! Super tight and it took a great deal of effort. I dread having to wash the cover and going through the ‘putting it back on’. Once on, the bed with cover is fine but surely somehow the fit or opening of the zippered cover could be better adjusted to work with the crate pad with less work.

I’d say my rating is actually about a 3,6 but I rounded up to 4 instead of down. I got the first bed when our puppy was 2 months old and within 20 days she cheeed through the protective cover on one corner. Thankfully she didn’t get through to the bed before catching this. K9 Ballistics were great and sent me out a one time replacement as it was within the 120 day guarantee. Unfortunately the replacement isn’t covered the same way. I left the cover on the bed and put the other one over it for twice the protection. About 2 weeks, not a bit over 1 year she bit through both protective cover and I cane hone to lots of bedding all in her kennel. Ironically it was the exact same corner she previously chewed on. She chewed through the zip tie fastening that corner down and went at it. It’s been a week so far and I hope that it doesn’t happen again or I’m going for the metal chew proof design. I thought hard on it but I wish it had more bedding/cushion or I would have opted for that one this time. If I didn’t like the product and think it wasn’t well made I wouldn’t have gotten a second bed from them.

When they say this is waterproof it really is! My dog (central Asian shepherd) knocked over his water bowl twice and the bed cover is super easy to clean and put back together and it did not go through to the foam underneath. My boy seems to really love the bed and I’m glad it fits his kennel pretty well. Wish it was a little bigger to fit the whole kennel but then again I have a huge dog (145lbs) so I’m happy with what I have as most brands don’t have a big enough bed. (Also please ignore the dog hair he sheds all year round)
