My Favorite Carrot

We have grown several varieties of carrots and Oxheart has become our favorite. We usually get good germination, you can start eating them by mid summer, they are easy to pull because they are short, but they can get pretty big. They are good fresh, cooked and frozen and have a nice sweet flavor. They grew better in our heavy, sometimes wet soil, than most of the long deep varieties.
