Alcotec Spirit Kit, 5 Litres

Simple kit that works, even for newbs like me.

As someone who has never home-brewed anything before, I tried it and it worked. It's a good kit. It's simple to use. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Most importantly, it worked. But I've deducted a star because it's a little too simple. You need to go and find answers to questions elsewhere, e.g. if you want to know the ABV, and who wouldn't, there's a separate process that you need to do in parallel, but the kit instructions don't mention that. Also it took over a week to clarify as opposed to the 3 days mentioned in the kit. I still don't know why, nor is it clear if I could have used Turbo Clear or similar to resolve. Would I use an Alcotec kit again? Definitely. It isn't a comprehensive 'how to' guide but it will give you a drinkable product and a basic understanding of the process, upon which you can build your knowledge if you want.
