Comfortable shoes with a long life

Several years ago, I was working with a physical therapist to improve my gait to take the pressure off my right knee. As I was doing this work, I realized that over many years, my feet had grown narrower, and the narrower shoes were interfering with the changes the therapy was causing. So, I searched for a shoe with a wider toe box. That's when I discovered SAS. That first pair became my only pair of shoes for the next 5, or so years! I'm one of those lucky people whose feet don't sweat, so I can wear the same shoes everyday without a problem or a need to allow them to dry. Finally, the tread on the shoes was completely gone, even though the rest of the shoe is as good as the day I bought it! I became a bit disturbed when I could no longer find a merchant who sold this brand, so I did something I've never done before, I ordered them on-line. At first I ordered a slip on then found the heel to be too wide. Rather that risking getting a smaller shoe, I returned the slip on for one with laces. At first I ordered the wrong color, but sent a request for the right color. When my new shoes arrived, I received the color I wanted and a shoe that fit perfectly. SAS exchange and return policy and free shipping made my new purchase and exchange very easy. I'm even thinking of getting a dressier second pair, and maybe, a more casual one too!

Customer service

Leary of purchasing items online…I did directly through the website. For a customer just shy of 80 it was easy due to the excellent customer service and support. The 1st pair had to be returned, we entered the incorrect size. The phone conversations were so respectful, empathetic and kind to our issues. We received a correct size within days. Unfortunately, they did not fit comfortable and we had to return. Each episode of our transactions was met with the best possible customer service experience.
