beginner 5-string
Left hand finger positioning for notes, slides and hammers is fun to practice. Fingered strings have a muted sound which is good for practicing at home. Open strings are loud and clear, making a great 5-string banjo sound.

Fretless is great!
I started playing banjo around 1974 but this is the first time I played a fretless banjo and it is wonderful. Wish I had done this sooner. It is so much more comfortable to play, the notes are clean and it is simply all around more enjoyable to play. I am not sure if I would say that if I was not already familiar with banjo notes & cords but for me its the first banjo I pick up in the morning!

A Different Animal.
After playing on frets it's definitely a bit tricky at first, but once I forget about it and get rolling it's a lot of fun! Love the in-between nuances it brings and the sliding capability adds a distinct flair.
