Im a Trek bike mechanic and I lug lots of my nice tools to work every day, I do for sure believe in buy once cry once but I got this crank puller for something my girlfriend can use and something i can keep in the garage just in case. Two uses deep it seized and honestly compared to its Park counterpart id say just make the investment. I am rough on my stuff but i havent had something like crank puller fail on me like that and it very frustrating in the moment. I like State im not slandering they are a good company with amazing service but this tool isnt enough for most peoples use i feel. Cranks get stuck pullers get stressed. If you do have one of these pullers and its working that awesome, just put grease on the threads. I think just a little maintenance couldve saved mine but as i said Parks pullers are very robust and certainly worth the money if you plan on using a puller a lot.
