What's not to love

Had this bike for 3 weeks. I love it. It is super sturdy and well built, has lots of options for components, while being an excellent value for the money. I am not a cycling snob so don't know whether the components are top-quality but they have been perfectly serviceable so far. It is a joy to ride. The dual wheelset option adds versatility as well.

Yup, it’s great. I’d been riding my beat up childhood walmart bike and knew I wanted to invest in something for my adult life. Found my way to State and I’m very satisfied with how it’s ridden so far. Tbh I don’t have much to compare it to, but I can’t imagine wanting anything else out of performance. Maybe something lighter, if I had to be picky, but I only notice that when I’m inconveniently hanging it upside down in the garage. Miles have melted away on my first few trips so far, it’s just so dang fun to ride. My next obstacle is ride storage, but I’m sure with all the hookups, I’ll figure something out. First new bike in a decade since racing

I wanted a steel all road bike that would be comfortable and fun. I raced from when I was a kid until my early 30s competing in MTB, road, and finally cyclocross and ultras. I always loved my steel bikes and wanted something that I could rely on but didn’t break the bank as a 40 year old Dad with kids in soccer (if you know you know). So far this bike has been everything I was looking for. Somehow I am maintaining average speeds comparable to my other Frankenstein 1x9 road bike and am more comfortable on a heavier bike. I ripped it around the local single track after a road ride and over the trails at our farm and it handles great. The group set is decent and does not disappoint for the price point, same for the wheelset. Tubeless setup was easy. I will definitely upgrade this for long term use with wheels and the groupset. I am impressed with the brakes but prefer Shimano style groups. You can’t go wrong with this setup and my wife will likely be picking one up too.
