I absolutely love everything about this Uji no Mori matcha!! Superb bright green colour, intense flavour, natural aroma, etc. It foams up really nicely and is definitely beginner-friendly & also suitable for matcha professionals!

High-end Japanese matcha

It tastes like high-end Japanese matcha: quite strong, not too bitter at all; it’s just right. I always look at how green the matcha looks when mixing it with milk, and this one definitely gives!! I have now added this matcha to my subscription along with their imperial matcha.

I am a big Japanese tea lover (enjoying matcha, sencha and hojicha), and this uji no mori matcha powder is among the best I have ever tasted. It boasts a delightful floral aroma and a pure flavour profile with absolutely no bitter aftertaste; plus, it dissolves perfectly in hot (not boiling) and cold water. It has a vibrant lush green colour, far removed from the murky, brownish-green hue of inferior powders. I’ve used it to make both iced matcha lattes and hot usucha matcha, and the results were fantastic. A small amount delivers such rich flavour that it actually works out to be more cost-effective than buying matcha lattes at a coffee shop.
