Restored Steam Performance
OE replacement in my old Carrezza. The base required some tapping with a small chisel to loosen. Works perfectly, no more steam leakage and noise. Only 4 stars because it didn't come with a new o-ring. Had to remove and reuse the old one at the base of the valve body. My old one works fine, but it would be better to replace the o-ring when installing the new valve assembly.

New life for Gaggia Espresso with Group Valve
My old Gaggia Espresso began leaking from the shower plate as the boiler built up steam pressure , then it got to where it started pulling shots with no crema. I use a pressurized porta filter currently. I was not aware of the group valve which is essentially a ball check valve. It was broken preventing the boiler from building pressure. I cleaned out the boiler and changed the group valve and the machine works like new. No more continued dripping after the shot is pulled and I’m getting a good rich crema.
