Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pen - Lizard

A fantastic entry-level fountain pen

While the Metropolitan is often recommended as a first fountain pen, it's my fifth. For comparison, I have a Lamy Safari (F), TWSBI Eco (F), Jinhao X450 (M), and Luoshi Bamboo (M). The Metropolitan is the first of those that feels really premium - it has a pleasant weight, and the metal construction feels solid in the hand. The nib is very fine - noticeably narrower than the other fine point nibs I've tried, but still very smooth writing. It's very professional looking, as well. Overall, I feel it is a great value for a very nice pen.
