It works!
I don’t have heavy duty gel lacquer on my nails — just the traditional polish. So, according to the product description, this file is not designed for my particular use. Still, I do find that the intensely toothy surfaces quickly do the trick with my nails. Just resort to a more delicate emory board to finish smoothing the edges.

Nice size, and sturdy
I use the smoother side, and it is perfect for filing natural nails.
