zucchini
Cocozelle is an Italian favorite due to its rich flavor and tenderness, even when it gets big (like 16" long). One plant will keep a family of 2 in zucchini all summer. We saute it with onion, peppers, garlic and tomato, or add tofu, beef or chicken.
Powdery mildew can attack it, but will not harm taste or production; this variety is no wimp. Plenty of air movement discourages mildew/ Grow Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) nearby to attract the tiny, stingless wasps whose larvae prey on vine-borer eggs and Gusto!.

Best Year Over Year
I have planted this squash for many years and consider it to be the finest of summer squash. The compact bush plants are prolific with beautifully striped, firm and very flavorful fruits. This one does it all as it freezes or dries beautifully. This is much nicer than most modern varieties and you'll love it!
