It is in fact, a fragrance
Very sweet smelling, yet soft like baby powder. Like old spice, baby powder, and vanilla had an illegitimate love child. My wife hates it, and I only wore it because I bought it and was expensive-ish. My wife has described it as an old man after a diaper change and I think I have to agree. Take a pass on this one gents.

Labdanum is just not my scent
I like the ease and convenience of having a cologne in a balm form instead of a spray. However, this scent is just too strong for me and my family members. It doesn't smell either woodsy, pine-y, citrus-y, or any of the other fragrances I'm used to smelling and doesn't come off being mild or delicate. I wish I could have sampled it first.

Labdanum
The smell is both complex and simple. It is a clean and earthy scent with hints of citrus. I'm very excited to share the solid parfum as a holiday gift!
