Even better CX 239

This is my fourth pair of Lake road cycling shoes. I ride 2000-3000 miles per year. I tend to get three or four years out of them so I've been using them exclusively for about 12-15 years. They are roomy in the toe box which is why I tried them the first time. I like that the tongue is now open only on one side. When the tongue can't move around as much it makes for a more consistent closure and optimal tightness. This is a sensible design feature, I'm surprised it doesn't show up on more shoes generally. I typically wear a 47. This time I measured according to the instructions on the website and it indicated 46. The 46 was unavailable in the color I wanted so I ordered the 46.5, also I was leery of changing a full size at once. I'm glad I ordered the 1/2 size because it felt a bit small at first but now seems perfect.

Waited after receiving to Review. 1st ride pure comfort. Been wearing for 2 weeks over 200 miles on them now. No issues with breaking in. I have always worn Specialized shoes. Never again! Purchased Regular and toe box
